AnimalNews is the Morris Animal Foundation's newsletter for donors and supporters. A place to discover Foundation-funded research findings, read stories, pick up tips for keeping companion animals healthy, and learn about current fundraising campaigns. The goal was to build genuine excitement about the science among a broad, general audience while giving readers practical animal-care takeaways they could actually use. As designer and creative director, I led the redesign of AnimalNews as part of the Foundation's rebrand. The original publication leaned on dense type and small images, and it struggled to hold readers' attention. I rebuilt it around bold, full-bleed animal photography, oversized display headlines, and color-blocked spreads that pull the eye through each story. Then make the research land, I translated complex findings into clear infographics that turn study results into something a general reader can grasp at a glance. The visual-first approach worked: after the redesign, donations tripled.
