Problem The Training Room at Morris Animal Foundation was the first thing you saw when you walked in, but it had no personality and didn’t speak to the Foundation’s heart. We needed to create a place in the office where people could connect and feel inspired.
Intent The room needed to be a place where the employees and visitors could learn about the Foundation’s history and programs. As part of renaming the community spaces after animals, it became the Elephant Room.
Insight We wanted the room to feel tactile and eye-catching, so we built the timeline from thick, colorful acrylic icons mounted off the wall. A Board Leadership portrait wall, a recent studies corner and a space for the mission and core values finished off the room, all tied together with bold typography, animal icons and etched glass. I led the design with my designers and worked with outside vendors for print and installation.
Outcome The Elephant Room became a space that shows off the Foundation’s history and programs to everyone who walks through the door.
